ABC World News with Diane Sawyer
First off (even though I'm sure many of you have seen it), Ohio U's Marching 110 was, once again, nationally recognized. However, this time, it wasn't because of a viral video of the band dancing to "Gangnam Style." The Marching 110's jackets were the subject of a photo on ABC's website. The photo went along with a story naming Ohio the deciding state for the election.
As if we didn't already know Ohio would be a major factor this election, the link's title was 'As Predicted, Election Hinges on Ohio.' The story continued by outlining election night: who won which state, who needed to win which states, who had the lead and for how long, etc. Additionally, they discussed President Barack Obama's decision to play some basketball on election night and how former Republican candidate, Mitt Romney was greeted by an overwhelming crowd when he landed in Pittsburgh on election night.
ABC World News continued their coverage of the presidential election with articles about Obama's acceptance speech and Romney's concession speech. Interspersed throughout their Facebook posts were pictures of the control room on election night and their picture announcing their prediction that Obama had won the election.
Post-election madness, ABC posted miscellaneous articles, including news of Hurricane Sandy recovery, coverage of DOW being down by over 300 points, Tomb Sentinels that guard the Tomb of the Unknowns, stories about Veteran's Day, and more.
One of their most recent breaking articles was the resignation of CIA Director David Petraues. His resignation cites 'personal problems and an extramarital affair.' The majority of the following posts, up until the most recent, are articles regarding the resignation and scandal surrounding Petraues and his wife.
